Product Description

It is widely accepted that calcium and magnesium play a vital role in the maintenance of healthy bone structures.

Optimal calcium metabolism depends on the interactions of a number of components such as magnesium, Vitamin D3 and Vitamin K specifically K2.

However, it appears that it is not always possible to maintain the correct calcium concentration in the bone matrix, without the aid and presence of adequate amounts of Vitamin D and Vitamin K. More recently, it has now been found that it is very important to have the correct form of Vitamin K2 available for the utilization of Calcium in the bone structures. Unfortunately, most people are Vitamin K deficient and they are even unaware of this fact.

It is now well established that Vitamin K is not only important for a well functioning coagulation system but that some forms of Vitamin K play a pivotal role in the activation of osteocalcin – a protein essential for the transport of calcium from the blood to form healthy bone structures.

Apart from the importance of the effect on bone structures, it has also been established during the past few years that same Vitamin K form is important for the activation of matrix Gla protein – a highly potent inhibitor of vascular calcification.

The preferred Vitamin K form exhibiting these unique effects is known as Vitamin K2 or Menaquinone-7 (MK-7, MenaQ-7).

A poor Vitamin K status is a distinct risk factor for excess bone loss and for arterial calcification.

The complete formulation as presented in NataCal will supplement all the factors needed to preserve the healthy bone structure and enhance new bone formation.

Directions

One measured spoon (≈5 gram) morning and evening dispersed in a glass of water or fruit juice. It is recommended to take the dose during a meal. A teaspoon is ≈ 5g.

If the dose recommended produces an undesired laxative effect, reduce the dose to half the amount of powder, about 2.5 gram (half a teaspoon) twice per day for a few days. Increase the dose again. Often the body will adjust itself and the proposed dose is well tolerated.

There is a slight effervescent effect during the initial phase of dispersion of the powder in the fluid. Stir well during the dispersion of the powder.

Safety Warning

Avoid this product if you are allergic or hypersensitive to any of the components.
May exhibit mild laxative effects especially during the initial first few days of administration.
No data are presently available regarding its safety during pregnancy and lactation, neither are there any data on file about the safety in children.
Do not use this product if you are on an anticoagulant regimen e.g. warfarin, without informing your Doctor. Although, it is unlikely that the amount of Vitamin K2 present in the product and administered at the recommended daily dose, will exhibit any inhibitory effects of warfarin’s anticoagulant activity.
It nevertheless, may be advisable to monitor the effectiveness of the anticoagulant therapy more frequently, especially during the early phase of the combination treatment.
Always seek advice from your Medical Doctor or other qualified Healthcare Provider especially, if you are taking other medication
