Product Description

NatoCardio is a multicomponent exhibiting a wide range of activities, but specifically addressing the daily needs of the cardio-vascular system.

The Vitamins of the B-Complex (B6; B12 and Folic acid) will aid the body control of homocystein levels, while the Vitamin E and K2 will support the antioxidant effects of Luteolin.

Presently, Vitamin K2 has gained considerable attention in two major fields – namely, bone and cardiovascular health. It has been mentioned as a critical nutrient.

Besides effect of Vitamin K2 on the calcium utilization and transport into the bones, it seems to have the opposite action regarding calcium deposition in arterial vasculature.

Adequate intake of dietary Vitamin K2 (>50 microgram)  appears to prevent distinctly the formation of arterial calcium plaques (so-called arteriosclerotic plaques) Unfortunately, the westernized diets do not supply such quantities of Vitamin K2, and the intestinal bacteria (colonic flora) neither are capable of producing adequate amounts, which would offer the required protective level. It has therefore, become essential to supplement the daily diet with at least half the quantity of the average required amount of Vitamin K2 to overcome this shortage, which may lead to the subclinical deficiency described in the literature.

Many of the “heart patients” are on a chronic intake of warfarin to prevent clotting of the blood. It has to be recognized that warfarin tends to increase the deposition of calcium into arterial tissues as well as into the aortic valve. The administration of adequate daily amounts of Vitamin K2 may distinctly counteract these deleterious actions of calcium deposition in the cardio-vascular system.
